Who We Are
The Three Missions Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution – the DAR – serves the central Texas region roughly bounded by the cities of Bryan/College Station, Temple and Austin. Based in the city of Cameron, members of the chapter come from many areas within the region or have family or heritage ties in the area. Some of our chapter members descend from the owners of the land where the original “Three Missions” of Milam County stood. Others came to Texas as quickly as they could!
New members find their relationship in the chapter to be friendly and easy going. If you are interested in becoming a member of the DAR, or the Three Missions Chapter specifically, we would like to hear from you! Do you have an active interest in community affairs? In the welfare of your state and country? In education or history or genealogy? If so, you will find others in DAR with the same passions you have.
What interests do you have? If you would like to find out more about the DAR in general, you will want to visit the NSDAR home page. If you are interested in joining a chapter in Texas, but not in the central Texas region, try the Texas DAR (TXDAR) home page. And if you find you are close enough to want to visit us at the Three Missions Chapter, please do! Membership requirements for the DAR are the same no matter where you join; so visit the membership page. (And do not forget; if you have an ancestor or relative who is already in the DAR, you are eligible, too!)
